Happy World Happiness Day (feat. Pharell)

Any excuse for a party, right? And what better excuse to party than Happiness? Today, March 20th, is World Happiness Day. At least, according to UN-resolution 66/281 it is. For a moment, I hesitated, thinking this was positive, but fake news, but I checked my source with the UN library, and indeed. Today is a day of happiness.

So what do we do on World Happiness Day?

Step 1: Pledge happiness

First order of business is to take the Pledge to promote happiness. That bit is easy. Just fill out the form, and you’r done with Pledging.

I have pledged to create more happineshare

Pharell Williams (you know, the guy from the Happy-song) gave a speech to the UN on World Happiness Day 2015, saying “Happiness is your Birthright”. I guess he took the pledge too:

Step 2: Share happiness

The second step is to act upon the Pledge. SHARE happiness. Do what makes you happy, and you will see a ripple effect where you contaminate others with your happiness. Smile to a stranger, welcome people with a silent Namasté or just living mindful.

Happy World Happiness Day!
